It's not so much how many people you sleep with, but rather how you act
about it. But the words WHORE and SLUT were created many years ago, BY MEN to demean women who had sex whenever and with whomever they wanted. This is a domain that men prefer to inhabit and get really high and mighty when women do it. Even women have joined the men in demeaning other women for having sex with freedom. It really kills me to hear women calling other women sluts and whores. I think we need to retire those words, just like the N word and other demeaning, stereotyping words that only serve to belittle. We women need to uplift each other and promote our individual freedoms, not join in the chorus of name calling, started by men who wish to control us. |

My name is Stephanie Morosi and I was involved in a Domestic Violence situation in Ladson, SC. I had asked for a restraining order for 5 months against a man who was 3x my size and had previously beaten up 3 women. They wouldn't give me one and told me to be patient while they reviewed my case. He broke into my house after moving out and I shot him dead. They charged me with first degree murder instantly without even investigating my story. If they had waited to see what witnesses would come forward, charges would never had been charged. Blair Jennings, who was running for office, refused to give me a pre-trial hearing (where a judge decides if the police has enough evidence to keep me charged and witnesses are called) and had to wait 2 yrs to find out that they didn't really want to try my case. South Carolina is a castle doctrine state. If you believe your life is in danger, you are allowed to shoot an attacker in your home or place of employment. My adult photos were the reason the police decided to violate my constitutional rights 2 separate times (refusal of restraining order and false charges of murder inside my own home). I have never been successfully convicted of any crime in my life. I had a false arrest on a dvd that a former roommate wanted....he also wanted some of my clothes and my gun. That charge was dismissed as I had the credit card receipt to the DVD. I was also arrested on false solicitation charges from a police officer who liked participating in scandalous behaviour himself and isn't a reliable witness. Another judge dropped those charges as a trial would have been embarrassing to SC if I started talking in court about police officers and judges who engaged in prostitution or drugs. For the record, SC has had strict laws on adult stores, webcam jobs, stripping and massage parlors. You can be wrongly charged with solicitation without really committing any crime. We even have a 5ft rule that requires strippers to have their money put into a strip jar instead of letting them be touched. |
